Beach Blanket Blueberry- Pg 56

Well, I must say I guess that I don't have that many crazed fanatics as I thought. I've had a few people moaning, crying, pleading, but didn't come close to even getting the treatment when some guy thought he would be 'smart' and spam the hell out of Johnny Swell's DA page in hopes to get him to continue issue 2 of The Bizarre Adventures of Berrygirl.

Though I do applaud persons like Faridae out there, who keeps the spirit alive of trying to do some nice new artwork in the form of her photo manipulations as well as her Ballad of Mark and Tai pieces.

After that 2-page spread for pages 54-55, I'm sure a majority of people are going to be disappointed with this page. Well, just remember: I'm writing the story, and if it isn't up to your standards, you can always write or draw your own stuff. Though I can imagine someone out there seeing this page and going, 'Oh my God...3 months later and he's gone 'George Lucas' on us!'

This page also had me try some new techniques. Up until now, I'd sketch the characters, and then overlay a new piece of paper and trace clean lines for scanning. This time, I just scanned in the rough sketches and did clean lines in Photoshop. Guess I've been watching too many Disney documentaries lately.
