Beach Blanket Blueberry- Pg 40

Well, we're at page 40, and several hundred views away from reaching 230,000 pageviews. And even with those accomplishments, I still figure this page will bore a select few to tears.

This page went through about 3 different iterations. In the end, it kind of became an 'arty' camera shot page.

One thing that was difficult was trying to find reference taken from inside swimming pools, looking up through the water. Most photographers want that dappled water filtering through the surface. Of the scant reference I could find, I wanted to make the top shot in the page somewhat realistic, but not completely. You have to get the idea that you're looking through water, but also be able to identify where you are.

One thing the previous page helped set-up is just how large Tai is...and could possibly still be growing. We're helped along on this page with Mark's realization.

I also went ahead and broke a couple of my shot rules, notably with the bottom panels. The idea is that I had a cameraman stand on a high ladder to capture the shot, but then, it's split into two separate frames. The idea being that in the left frame, the camera rack-focuses on Mark since he's the focal point of the conversation. When the camera then switches to Tai, she becomes the focal point.
