The worst thing about starting a new scene, is that you have to start with a blank piece of paper. And there's nothing anybody else can do to help you. You have to start it yourself-Ollie Johnston, from the documentary Frank & Ollie.

One of Disney's legendary Nine Old Men said it best. Page 13 might have come out sooner, if not for that scary blank sheet of paper, and the concept for this page. There was so much going on in page 13 that it was intimidating. A mixture of emotions, camera angles, and visual effects. I told someone that this page was almost like ' page 12 times 2.' Whereas we had one instance of motion blur there, here we have two.

Holding off on this page did prove useful at one point. I was riding the bus from work, when that concept showing three emotions in a circular form hit me. I try to use the eyes to really show emotion at times. It can be seen as a 'cheat' to not showing the actual face, but just look at the little 'battle of wits' between Syndrome and Mr Incredible in The Incredibles, where Syndrome is trying to convince Mr Incredible to crush Mirage. There's so much said in those eye close-ups.

I must say that this page is also great in that it continues to show an emotional range about Tai, and that she can get a bit physical towards Mark. When upset or annoyed, girls/women seem to enjoy inflicting ' physical retribution' on their boyfriends/husbands/etc.

yea I know what you mean some times it's best to hold off on pages to get ideas & I'm not sure why girls/women enjoy inflicting ' physical retribution' on their boyfriends/husbands/etc. great work as always ^_^

First fave!

And I went FAVE NOW.

This was so worth the wait and your art has come leaps and bounds since the first page. I'm almost crossing my fingers that you might go back and re-do the first few or so. Not just quality wise but style and basic formating have gone up. I noticed earlier you kinda of relied on talking heads with the balloons covering up their bodies.

So that's why I like the Tai's first pse we weren't getting too many body shots before (that was getting better before this one.) I really wanted to see more of her bikini. I'm a wee bit sad that her hair is changing color too, but I don't dislike purple hair either. The eye panel(s) is great, love it, love that we're seeing more sides of her. And I love her shoving Mark down, my kinda woman.

The sand effect looks a little weird in the third too last panel but I get what you were trying to do and I do like the heart of the effect, hard shove indeed to knock sand up that high. Wonderful anger expression.

And I <3 the last panel. I've wanted to see another shot of her rear. Though I notice her bikini has shrunk. And it's adorable and great how she gets bluer and bluer with each shot, while changing emotions, attitude, and goes from fright to acosting.

DON'T STOP! (sorry I finally lost it with this page)

Faves again!
Oh and I'm sorry about me loosing it there. Really I am.

I totally know what it's like to want to wait and get the just right shot of inspiration. I'm going through it right now....and have been for a few weeks.
Your last comment paragraph in the description is true.
Most BG stories usually have the girl completely oblivious to their plight or situation and are later strangely infatuated by their so called "predicament".

Your showing actual attack from a girl is probably the most natural reaction I have seen of any sort of series or story.
Mind that I like the other stories, but this stands out as a more realistic reaction than others.

If anything, give at least 1 moment where she is entirely blue before the secondary effects take hold and hold if I may so wish.

I have no photo shop, but I recommend that motion blur be carried out to each color on its own, kinda like the speed lines in Manga and all that.

Excellent progression though! Building things up always creates better tension and a much more satisfying conclusion.

LOL! That'll teach Mark not to feed strange things to girls he likes, XD! Poor Tai, her reaction is totally understandable and very realistic, lets just hope she's able to find out what she needs to know before she begins to suffer the other effects of her blueberry transformation, lol
hehehehe! Great!

"Sure" is one of the most common answer’s you'll get from me...yup...
Awesome work as always. Show that blank page who's in charge!
Very interesting presentation, I really love how you show the blue color slowly spreading down her legs and through her hair. Great work, as usual. :D
Finally! A Blueberry story where the girl doesn't just stand there wondering why she's turning blue!

And she found out that it was the gum. Smart girl. ;)

Very nice layout with the eyes in a basketball sort of panel. Out of curiosity, about how long did it take to get her hair the right color of blue and still have the texture?
